A chill wind greeted 18 walkers on this very sunny morning on Dartmoor. Graham led us around Venford Reservoir and up onto Bench Tor where we had fine views across southern Dartmoor.

Though only a short walk this time, 3.8 miles ATD (according to Dennis) it was very much enjoyed by all and we had the spectacle of looking down from Bench Tor onto the river below 1,000 feet said Ernie, though later calculated at 1033 feet ATD.

After lunch at the Forest Inn some of us visited the tiny church in Huccaby.

The music is called "Gabriel's Oboe", composed by Ennio Morricone for the film "The Mission"
