Ashburton Walk 13th December 2011

On a cold, showery day a hardy group of 17 Walkers led by Ernie set off from the Victoria Inn for the annual pre-Christmas country walk around the area.

After dodging the cars and the streams running across the road we arrived at the river crossing. After a group meeting chaired by Ernie it was decided to carry on across the river and through the woodlands.

Despite a very wet, boggy, leafy terrain having to be negotiated through short but heavy downfalls of rain and hail everyone arrived back safely at the Victoria Inn to be joined by nine other members of the group for a superb lunch.

The Christmas Lunch

Everyone found a seat and we tucked into an excellent value lunch at "Old Codgers" prices

	Prizes were presented to the First Time Leaders this year Terry and Jean .....		Val and Neil ......
	.. and Jane and Bob		... though Bob looks as if he's dubious about the provenance of his award.
